Deena Fulton, she/her, MPH

Deena is the Principal Consultant at D. Fulton Consulting. She has a Master’s of Public Health in Health Behavior from UNC and over a decade of experience in public health practice. Most of her career has focused on preventing and responding to sexual and intimate partner violence. That work has involved collaborating with almost any service system you can imagine and many culturally-specific organizations.

Deena has experience in program planning, implementation, oversight, and evaluation. She has served as an organizational leader; a government funder for local non-profits; and a program director managing federal, state, and private funds. She has provided training and technical assistance to non-profits, government staff, and for-profit organizations that aim to improve community health and well-being.

Through all of her work, Deena prioritizes strong relationships, deep respect for every person’s inherent dignity, and doing what she can to contribute to a more equitable world. She also prioritizes bringing as much rigor as is feasible while putting people first and working with limited resources.

Partnering consultants

One of the best parts of Deena’s love for collaboration is that she has been able to connect with many, many brilliant colleagues. D. Fulton Consulting often partners with additional talented public health and social work professionals who bring skills and lived experiences that enrich, deepen, and broaden our work. If Deena doesn’t quite check all of the boxes you’re hoping for in a consultant, chances are she can bring in others to round out the team.
